Refund Policy

14 days to change your mind, no reason required and no argument about it.

Last updated 27 September 2026

14 days, money back

Ask within 14 days of a payment and it is refunded in full. You do not have to explain why, and using the app in the meantime does not disqualify you.

Why there is a trial at all

Every account gets 7 days of full access before any payment, precisely so that nobody pays to find out whether this suits them. If it does not, the trial simply ends and you are charged nothing. The refund window exists for the cases the trial does not cover — you subscribed and then sat the test early, your plans changed, or you renewed without meaning to.

How to ask

Email support@lingocrest.com from the address on the account. Include nothing else — we can find the payment. We aim to answer within two working days and the money is returned by the same route it arrived, which usually takes a further five to ten working days depending on your bank.

Payments are taken by Polar as merchant of record, so the refund is issued by Polar. You may also raise it directly with them; either way, write to us and we will make sure it happens.

Renewals

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you are emailed by Polar when a payment is taken.
  • An unwanted renewal is refundable on the same 14-day terms. Tell us and it is reversed.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for — cancelling does not cut you off mid-month.

Institutional seats

The same 14 days apply from the date of the invoice. After that, a cohort can be reduced at the next renewal rather than refunded mid-term; tell us the new number before the renewal date and it is billed accordingly. Seats freed by students leaving can be reassigned at any time at no cost.

When we may decline

A refund can be refused where an account has been used in a way the terms prohibit — chiefly scraping the question bank or sharing one login across many learners. This is not a general escape clause and it is not used for ordinary heavy use. Studying a lot is the point.

Your statutory rights

Consumers in the UK, EU and elsewhere have cancellation rights that this policy does not reduce. Where your local law gives you longer or better terms than the 14 days here, your local law applies.
